Week 53: News!

Magandang hapon po sa inyo lahat! :) (Good evening to you all!)

Natutunan ko na ang tagalog at Aklanon dito sa Kalibo :) I am learning Tagalog and Aklanon (pronounced Akeanon) here in Kalibo.

SURPRISE! I have been transferred and I am now a Sister Training Leader (STL) here in Kalibo. I was surpise transferred on Friday and I have been rather successfully speaking (amazingly, and totally from God- Gift of tongues is REAL) Tagalog. I have been able to differentiate the words of Aklanon, but I will jhave to learn that little by little as I want to learn Tagalog so bad and people here will speak Tagalog to me if they know I dont know Aklanon :) HAPPY DAY. I speak a mixed form of Hiligaynon and Tagalog, but in only 3 days the Lord has already blessed me with a great newfound knowledge of Tagalog :) BLESSINGS.

I have 2 companions (one of them is expected to transfer in about 2 weeks on the actual transfer day) and they both speak Tagalog because they are from Tagalog speaking areas :) JOY :) and they are so sweet and the Spirit is so strong and we all connect so well. It is such a blessing to be with such amazing sisters :) Sister Abubo is batch with me to go home and so November she and I end our missions. Sister Doria is an amazing cook and I am so excited to learn more recipes from her :) Ive learned a lot of recipes here. I feel I could be a full on filipino mom.

Saturday we woke up early and did a service project at a school and cleaned trash and such there. We then had the Zone Leader come and interview the 3 investigators here to be baptized on May 26 (so thats the picture with tons of kids) Then that night we had a great Ward Home Evening where we sisters taught a lesson about the restoration and showed the video with Joseph Smith's first vision where our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him. I am so grateful for the Restoration and the many truths restored to this earth. What great joy and peace the restoration brings :) I know this is Christ's restored church on earth and what a blessing to have a living prophet here on earth today to guide us in these last days.

This week we also had a Zone conference and that was spiritually filling as well :)

I hope you all are doing well and I love you all.

Take care! :)
Halong! (Hiligaynon)
Dahan! (Aklanon)
Ingat! (Tagalog)
