Week 50: Miracles :)
This week I learned that God truly IS right by our sides in this work.
This week Sister Cheena (mistake on my past spelling) and Brother Johnny came back from Boracay. We came over to their home and we missed them so much and after we said our hellos and laughed, Sister Cheena surprised me and Sister Salan (My companion) with 2 souvenir bracelets haha SHE LOVES US :) And then we came back and taught them the next day and Sister Cheena read the Law of Chastity pamphlet out loud with Brother Johnny and she said that God told her that they need to get married. THAT'S A MIRACLE. What a change of heart. So they are making plans for that so they can be baptized. :) HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY. Also this week Brother Johnny and Sister Cheena came to church and came on time so they were able to experience the sacred passing of the sacrament :) They are progressing like crazy and I love them very much :) In correlation with them, Sister Cheena has been giving us the names of her cousins and friends and so we have had tons of new people to meet and potential investigators :) One of the referrals of Sister Cheena has a cousin who is mormon and she already knows and loves temples... :) HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY DAY :)
Another miracle: Sister Lorena (a Young Single Adult) worked with us a bit on Sunday and brought us to the house of her referral and we met her Aunt, and her mom and they were in the middle of washing clothes (we do that by hand here) and usually people dont stop in the middle of that but THEY DID :) and we were able to teach them the Restoration and Rochelle, the friend of Lorena read a page of the Book of Mormon that Lorena gave her and she said that she felt that it was true and wants to learn more. BUT THATS NOT IT: Her mom and aunt are the cousins of Sister Cheena!!!! Happy day!!! :)
Also this Sunday morning I was praying and I half consciously thought if it were possible for God to make things REALLY easy on us and inspire a person to come to church who wants to be baptized haha.. I know thta sounds really crazy and all buuut.... We went to church and a young man in his 20s came to church!!!!! His name is Christopher and his "manghod"/ younger sibling was baptized years ago and he listened in on the lessons and wanted to be baptized then but was busy. WELL he came to church and is asking for Sundays off and he loved Sunday school class and was so active in participating and Roshell- a recently baptized member- walked in and they were classmates in the past and GUESS WHAT they are totally friends. Consequence?? I think not :) God is totally mindful of us. Christopher will be taught this week and he has already told us he wants to be baptized haha. I love this work. Being worthy of the Spirit and the Lord's blessings is seriously the greatest blessing and experience.
Any who :) This week has many more miracles, many more members helping us in this work, 15 more referrals to contact and many return appointments. The Lord just tests our faith sometimes :)
This week I have been studying 1 Nephi 2-3 and I just wanted to encourage you all to study the character of Nephi. He was an amazing Prophet of God and I love learning more about how we can become more faithful to the Lord in our service to Him and in keeping His commandments so we go through trials happily :)
I love you all. Thank you so much for the prayers and love.
