Week 44: Can't tract so working with members and miracles

Dear friends and family,

This week was a bit busy as we had the trainer and trainees meeting on Thursday in Iloilo. We travelled down on Wednesday as trainers which was a 3 hours drive on the buses here (they are super crazy skilled drivers here haha). Then we had a meeting on Thrusday, met our companion in the meeting and travelled home to Roxas :)

My new companion and the sister I am training is Sister Salan :) She is Cebuana and so she is learning the Hiligaynon language and is truly so kind, sweet, loving and humble. We have already experienced miracles together the 2.5 days we have proselyted together and I have faith that she and I can find those the Lord has prepared for us to teach... with the help of members.

In this mission, our mission President made tracting (or knocking on doors) "bawal" or agaist the rules. Our goal in this mission has been to follow what the prophets have said and work with members. We visit members and share messages with them and would you know it, members have given us 10 referrals these past 2 weeks and we just received one on Saturday and taught a man and his daughter with a member there to help teach the lesson the next day and they are receptive and the man, Conrad, has even read some of the Book of Mormon!! Then we received another referral on Sunday from a member at church and she called the young man on the spot at church and then we taught 21 year old Niel that evening. MIRACLES are happening here and I am so in love with the Lord's work here in the Philippines.

Also another miracle:

We have been teahcion John and China and Saturday we taught them the Plan of Salvaton which has been revealed to our prophets in these latter days and gives us answers to the questions of "Where did I come from?" "Why am I here/what is my purpose here on earth?" and "Where am I going?". On one part of the lesson, we teach about how we are here to prepare to meet God again as it says in the Book of Mormon Alma 34:32 and how Christ's gospel prepares us (Faith in Jesus Christ, Repentance, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins by someone with the priesthood authority, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end). Once we asked if they had questions, Brother Johnny said, I really like the gospel, when can I get baptized?" MIRACLE. Anyway... so he really wantes to be baptized and he has a date in May. But we will work on them being married first. He told us he knows its all true as he reads the Book of Mormon.

Also Brother Pablito, another investigator who struggles with alcohol addiction really wants to stop and when we taught him about Baptism and how he can start on a new slate after he prepares himself and we work on repentance, he agreed to a baptismal date in May and he said he was so happy he felt like crying.

This work is truly God's work. We are all Heavenly Father's children and I am so gratfeful to be apart of this great work that is truly the most important for us all.

That's all this week. Please know that your Heavenly Father loves you. He knows you and He has plans for you. We just need to put our trust in Him and His Son Jesus Christ and He will direct our paths.

I love you all.

Stay strong and read the Book of Mormon and pray to your Father in Heaven as He loves you and wants to hear your concerns, joys and burdens.

Love, Sister Masters
P.s. Im not sure why, but my camera cant upload the pictures from this week.. Sorry gid... I think I may have some virus or somthing on my camera from these computers... we shall see.
