Week 26: Bowling and painting chairs
Hey yall!
So today we went bowling as a district and I have learned that as a missionary, EVERYTHING is more fun :)
We were even blessed to have air conditioning. LOVE THAT :)
This week has been filled with goodness:
1) This week we painted cute little chairs for a 3rd grade Teacher and all of them are a nice bright pink (our service project).
2) Our Ward is feeling the excitement we have to do missionary work as missionaries and we have gotten all of the auxillary leaders involved and members work with us at appointments and the ward is becoming more unified! To all family and friends back home, PLEASE work with the missionaries and befriend those investigating the church because you are so necessary and helpful in their conversion and staying in the church as they felt the truth of it when they read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know its truth.
3) people are complimenting my hiligaynon and it is so happy. I also realized that this island has 6 languages including ASL and Im feel as though I am learning 4 right now as I am learning DEEP Hiligaynon, the hiligaynon actually used (haha same language as deep hiligaynon), and Tagalog, and ASL sometimes as I see the deaf members in one ward here.
4) We literally use rice and cooking rice to explain different principles here... rice is life. haha joke.
Also we have 2 progressing older couples who are investigating the church and they are truly progressing :) They read the Book of Mormon and have golden questions which is what we cal them as the restored gospel has all the answers. Their questions were: How do I know if Ive truly repented? Will I get to see my parents again after I die? What happens after I die? Is it wrong that Ive switched religions multiple times to find the truth? HOW AMAZING. Any ways, the work of the Lord is progressing and I am blessed to be a part of it no matter how hard it is.
Love yall.
