Week 36: Jezel Is Amazing ... and an AMERICAN!!! (127 cockroaches)

Dear family and friends,
This past week Jezel came to church again. The stake was also showing in each ward the First Presidency's message so we could hear the Prophet speak. When President Russel M. Nelson said “I declare my devotion to God our Eternal Father and to His Son, Jesus Christ. I know Them, love Them, and pledge to serve Them—and you—with every remaining breath of my life", I had an overwhelming feeling come over me (the Spirit) that President Nelson is truly God's living prophet on this earth of God's only true and living church on this earth. Joy. I truly felt joy and peace knowing that despite all the commotion going on in the world, God does't change and He has blessed us just as He blessed His children in the past by calling a prophet of God so we can have revelation from our Father in Heaven in our day. I turned to Jezel after hearing the New First Presidency speak and asked how she felt. She said she felt emotional but so very happy and filled with joy. She said she knew he was a prophet.
PEOPLE. We met Jezel just about a month ago and she is coming to church, reading the Book of Mormon (she's in 2 Nephi now... I love her) and she participates in Relief Society and everyone loves her at church. She has SUCH a strong testimony.
Teaching Jezel is evidence that this is not my work. This is not the work of people or humans. This is the Lord's work and I am in His vineyard just helping Him out a little. I love my Lord. I love my Savior and I love that I get to play a small part in bring His gospel to my brothers and sisters here in the Philippines. What a miracle.
Also I met an American!!!! He wanted to know how we share in such loud places (there was a fiesta so it was really loud. they party hard here) I explained how we usually share when it is quieter and in homes, because the Holy Spirit has a quiet voice to testify of this truth, but he and I kept talking (so much english... that was hard... my english is mixed with hiligaynon) and he had met an elder (male missionary) and he was so amazed at our testimonies and I testified to him that our message can bring so much joy and peace in his life and not just now but in the life to come. He was super awesome and was so happy. I gave him a Restoration pamphlet to read and he said he'd read it. That was a happy experience :)
And then the couple missionaries had the only 2 American sisters here on this island (with our greta companions) over for dinner to eat mexican food and can I tell you what. I WAS SO SO HAPPY.
So the cockroach count was pretty low this week and I hadnt killed one for a while, but I opened the cabinet this morning and I found one just for yall ;) so we are at 127 this week :)
Take care, I love yall :)
