Week 16: Crocs Eaten by a Rat

Hello dear family and friends,

So this week was good as usual. My favorite part was seeing our recent convert to the church pass the sacrament in his only white shirt and tie. He now has the priesthood and I could not be happier. All the hard things we go through out here in the mission field cannot beat down the joy I felt seeing him use his priesthood authority. Another recent convert will be baptizing his 2 younger this September 23rd with our 3 other investigators. Although we are not getting as many new investigators a as we used to get, we have had stronger, more interested (progressing) investigators who are truly trying to know if this gospel is true. It is incredible to see them come closer to our Savior Jesus Christ and have so much more joy in their lives.

This past week was my birthday (thank you for the birthday wishes) and I am now 20. My companion made a cute "Happy 20th Birthday Sister Masters" Banner and I got to eat some spaghetti from Mcdonalds that one of recent converts bought us for my birthday and Ice cream. So sweet of her :)

We have a new investigator who has accepted a baptismal invitation (if he comes to know the truth of this gospel) and he is reading the Book of Mormon. He knows the Bible really well which helps cause then he understands that the Bible and Book of Mormon really do support each other and speak of each other. Its so great to see people find the truth :)

Also a member had us over for dinner and they cooked us SUPER GOOD shrimp and tuna and so I have more recipes in my journal :)
Strange things:
My crocs flats were chewed by a rat cause I left it outside (its not too bad, and I can still wear them but its kind of funny cause that has never happened to me before, usually its a dog) But rats here are like a foot long so they are basically dogs haha :)

Other than that, I have been studying more about repentance and Christ's Atonement. I have been trying to recall past things Ive done and repenting daily as we are told we should do. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to kneel each night before the Lord and our Heavenly Father in prayer and feel cleaner daily. for a good study of the Atonement read Alma 7 :) So great :)

I love you all. Stay strong. Look up to the Lord, not to the sides of you.
