Week 40: Hump day!

Dear family and friends,

I am low on time today, but I want you all to know I am alive and well. :) This past Saturday was the mark of finishing 9 months of my mission which means I am now half way finished. Super strange to say that.
I have experienced so much this past 9 months, I am so blessed to be able to have an opportunity to serve and continue to serve a mission. Especially in the Philippines.
This past week we have experienced a miracle. We were looking for a couple who used to be taught by missionaries in the past (here in the Philippines you just ask if a person knows someone and they will point you to the home of the person you were searching for). So I got this strong feeling to aska man who is a massive muscle built filipino (hes a total gym guy) if he knew the couple and he didnt, but we started talking to him and introduced ourselves as missionaries and I saw his wife at the door and they let us in and we just started talking to them. SO NICE. And then I started talking to Brother Johnny about working out and such and after talking a bit it turns out Brother Johnny has been to the church before cause a gym friend of his was mormon (moved away now). We taught them about how families can be forever and how God, our Heavenly Father loves us and they said theyd come to church.
I prayed ALL THAT WEEK for them to come to church and have a member there to be kind and be friends with them when they came.
Sunday came and we waited for them. They didnt come.... UNTIL sacrament meeting was almost over (THEY CAMEEEEEE GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS) and not only did they come, a member in the back they sat by named Bryan is a friend of Johnny and another member, Margie say sister China (sounds like Cheena) and moved and sat by her (they are friends too) and then they even sat by them in the class for visitors after sacrament. Sister China told her friend Sister Margie that Sister China told Brother Johnny they shouldnt come because they were already so late, but Brother Johnny was very adamant that they come and Sister China was so happy they came.
Anyways. I have a testimony God answers prayers and this is God's work.

Oh another cool story really quick:
We got a referral from a member and the man is a Jehovah's witness and has been being visited for the past 2 years and told us that he would only give us 1 visit to visit him causehe didnt have time for us. Me and Sister Santos looked at eachother and changed our plans of only teaching part of the Restoration, to teaching him the whole restoration. To make the story short. The Spirit softened his heart and he understood more fully that the church of Jesus Christ has truly been restored and told us he would read the Book of Mormon and told us we could come back.
What blessings.
Anyways. Thats all this week.

I love you all.
Love Sister Masters
