Week 41: Service and SOAKED

Hello everyone :)
This week my companion completed 18 months on her mission and has 2 more weeks until this transfer ends and she goes home. We have been working so hard the time has passed quickly. By the time this transfer is over, I will have nearly finished 10 months on the mission which is starting to make me a bit nervous to see how fast the time is passing.
This past week was filled with some new investigators who I truly hope will progress.
We were blessed to have 8 different members work with us this past week. It is such a blessing to have members come and help testify of the truth that we are teaching as missionaries.
Something Ive learned this week from my companion is service. As part of the things we have to bring in our bags are biscuits/crackers (here in the Philippines they pronounce it biskwits haha) just in case we get hungry. There is a cute couple that is very old and have very little wealth in terms of worldly possessions (they are rich in the gospel). Tatay (or Tay for short: dad in Hiligaynon, we say it to anyone older basically who is male) loves biscuits and bread so every time we go to visit them, my companion always leaves her biscuits with them. This past week I have been pondering the good examples of those who serve as Christ would and memories of my mother and my experiences with my companion, Sister Santos, have become so important in building that Christlike attribute of Charity that I am continuously trying to develop.
Also funny thing: Roxas has a mix of Karaya, tagalog, Capiznon and is mostly Hiligaynon. Its pretty funny to ask about a word and then figure out what language it is. Every day I learn new words.
People here are still being amazing instruments in the Lord's hands to bless us and we are still searching for those the Lord has prepared :)
Also this week we were SOAKED as we walked/rode the tricycle home haha.. cold!!!! Who knew I'd ever feel cold in the Philippines. I guess Im used to it here now.
Also side note: I found Smuckers jelly and made a PB and J. SO HAPPY.
Also one of these pictures is of one of the 8 year old boys in our ward who gave us sister missionaries fabric roses on Valentines :) Sweet!!!
Thank you all for the love and prayers. I love you all!
Love, Sister Masters
