Week 11: Killing Cockroaches

Sis Yang ed and I killed more cockroaches and this investigator gave us the inside of a coconut tree and they eat it! and I ate the stuff on the sticks which was boiled blood and then chicken intestines..

Week 57: Reach out to those you don't know and greet them warmly

Dear Family and friends,  Time is a flying! I just hit my 13 months on the mission! Only 5 months. There is so much I have learned. I wish I were a better write to describe it. But here is a little note as I dont have much time.  There is a quote I read this week from Prophet Russel M. Week 55: No more tracting ... just members

Maayong hapon :)  This past week was focused on the members. In our mission, our mission president has "bawal"ed or has restricted tracting (knocking on doors) for quite some time now (since January). He wanted us to visit members and become more united with them to get referrals to teach people. So after a few months, our president then received a revelation that we have been using which is this amazing tool to help members know how to help their friends become ready to receive the missionaries (us) and gospel. Well guess what: we went from having no referrals last week to this week of 30 names (referrals) received from the members of the people they are working on to receive the message of the Restored Gospel. BLESSINGS. So that's been amazing. That happened in Roxas (my last area) too :) So now we will be busy following up with the members.  We also are a little low on investigators here so I have been exercising my faith and talking to people everywh...

Week 30: I'm a trainer!!

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Dear Family and Friends,  BIG NEWS: I am training a new missionary!  I got the news yesterday that I will be training one of the new missionaries that enter the Philippines Iloilo mission next week. Im a little scared as it is a massive responsibility but my friend says a quote fairly often and I am taking it to heart with this new assignment: "Two people can do anything, as long as one of them is the Lord". Also my companion has told me that "Who the Lord calls, He qualifies" as right now I do not feel too qualified for this, but I trust the Lord will guide me as I exercise my faith in Him and become more humble as I train all I know to this new missionary. We are fairly low in investigators right now (at least low for Philippines missions) but I have faith that as i open my mouth and speak to more people, the Lord will bless us with miracles.  I have been in this area for over 5 months now this being my upcoming 5th transfer her...
